Rumours have been rife, but it has finally been revealed that newly reformed Blur will headline the Converse Represent gig at the legendary 100 Club on August 2.
Fans have the chance to win free tickets (yes you read that correctly), by registering online on August 1, where winners will be selected at random.
21 years after the release of their debut album Leisure in 1991, the four piece, famous for Britpop classics such as Coffee and TV, Charmless Man, Parklife and Beetlebum, have written two new songs – Under The Westway and The Puritan – ahead of a sold out return to London’s Hyde Park on August 12.
In what will be a rare performance for a fortunate few, the show will go down in the 100 Club’s history and is the band’s first ever gig at the famous venue.
Blur will complete a line up of The Converse Represent music series that will see the likes of Plan B, Nas, Paul Weller, Santigold, SBTRKT, Toots & The Maytals, UK Subs and Overkill play the legendary 100 Club over nine nights from July 30 through to August 10.
For a chance to be at the gig, register at www.converse.co.uk/blur from 9am- 6pm on August 1.
