Tongue Fu fighting

Get your mouth round this one – it’s the fifth birthday of Tongue Fu – the spoken word show and organisers have pulled some absolute gems out of the bag for this one.

On the line-up tonight will be:

Salena Godden– Punk poetry goddess published by Penguin, Canongate & The Guardian; regular on BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live; collaborator with Beardyman and Coldcut and host of the legendary Book Club Boutique.

Byron Vincent – Hilarious sink estate dandy, twisted wordsmith and festival stalwart; featured on BBC R3’s The Verb and R4’s Bespoken Word; published by Nasty Little Press.

Joshua Idehen – Kick-ass poet and performer currently working multiple record deals; his album with LV – Routes – was named by Mixmag as one of 2011’s albums of the year. If you’ve never heard his track Northern Line, get on it. You’ll never be able to travel the Tube in the same way again.
