Yes you heard that right. Move over Tate, Burger King is destined to be the number one spot for contemporary art.
Britart champion Damien Hirst has donated a spin painting to the Burger King’s restaurant in Leicester Square.
Hirst, has gone for a moderate title, calling the work: Beautiful Psychedelic Gherkin Exploding Tomato Sauce All Over Your Face, Flame Grilled Painting 2003.
Created using Hirst’s signature spin technique, the installation measures 2m in diameter and will takes pride of place in the upstairs dining area of the restaurant. But don’t worry it will be protected by reinforced glass to ensure its safety from ketchup, mayo and BBQ sauce splashes.
So for flame grilled modern art served with a side of fries you know where to head.
