Thousands of naked people to take to the roads. Really.

This Saturday hundreds of naked bodies will take to the streets on bicycles. No, there isn’t something in the water, it’s all part of a worldwide protest event demonstrating against oil dependency and other environmental issues.

More than 1,000 people are expected to take part in the London Naked Bike Ride which also aims to encourage more people to take up cycling, and to raise awareness for cycle safety on London’s streets.

The dress code asks riders to go “as bare as you dare” so for the more modest, swimwear or underwear will suffice, apparently. However, for some it is simply a great excuse to go cycling in the buff. And if the forecast is to be believed, the rain as well.
