Barbecue meat, American sports, comedy and beer. So far, so jock. And that’s no bad thing, especially as a great chest-beating antidote to the Monday Blues.
On Sunday, US sports podcast Americarnage will be stepping out of the studio for the first time and heading over to Bodeans BBQ Tower Hill for a live recording. And you can be there to peek behind the mic, as it were, with a faceful of pulled pork.
Normally recorded in Camden Town, Americarnage is made up of a team of sports broadcasters and comedians including Mike Carlson (NFL analyst for Channel 4 and BBC TV); Dan Louw (author, TV producer and stand comedian); Nat Coombs (TV host and journalist for ESPN; host of Major League baseball & NFL Live on BBC Five Live Sports Xtra); and Harry Holgate (producer and editor of Americarnage and news, sport, comedy and drama productions).
As well as the American football, basketball, hockey and baseball, the podcast includes US culture, current affairs and pop culture. In fact, it’s even been nominated for a Best Sports Podcast at the Podcast Awards.
Just remember not to let your food go cold while you watch all the action.
