Gordon Ramsay’s north London pub York & Albany has already built itself a reputation for good grub, and it’s now aiming to add to this with a new regular acoustic music night.
Play On takes place on the last Tuesday of the month, with a mixed line-up picked by staff at the pub.
This time round it’s the turn of Raff & The Remedies and Sharlene Hector. Raff discovered the world of soul music through a free mixtape he got with a pair of jeans and become instantly hooked. Since starting out as a singer he’s performed, been featured on podcasts and heard on radio shows all over the world. He features on the Playstation series Grand Theft Auto with a slick slice of soothing soul, with an energetic funk and pop edge.
Sharlene Hector is a north London singer/songwriter who has worked with acts including Basement Jaxx, Alicia Keys, Tinie Tempah, Mark Ronson, Mel C and a host of others.
We’ll be heading down there to get over the rain, enjoy some comfort food and some even more comforting sounds.
