Your weekly roundup of weekend public transport chaos: 28-29 January

Paddington station on the Hammersmith & City line is closed all weekend, so if you’re using Heathrow Express consider an alternate route to Paddington. Beyond that, the theme for the weekend seems to be laying on new track (an order must have been delivered), with the District and Piccadilly lines facing some closures to renew the lines.

Bakerloo line: On Sunday, there is no service between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone due to Network Rail bridge maintenance work.

Circle line: On Saturday and Sunday, Farringdon station is closed in order to improve the station. On Saturday and Sunday, Paddington (Hammersmith & City) station is closed in order to improve the station.

District line: On Saturday and Sunday, there is no service between Earl’s Court and Ealing Broadway/Kensington (Olympia)/Richmond in order to lay new track. 

Hammersmith & City line: On Saturday and Sunday, Farringdon station is closed in order to improve the station. On Saturday and Sunday, Paddington (Hammersmith & City) station is closed in order to improve the station.

Metropolitan line: On Saturday and Sunday, Farringdon station is closed in order to improve the station.

Piccadilly line: On Saturday and Sunday, there is no service between Acton Town and Uxbridge in order to lay new track.

Docklands Light Railway: On Saturday and Sunday, there is no service between Westferry/Poplar and Island Gardens due to track improvement work. On Saturday and Sunday, there is no service between Stratford International and Canning Town due to upgrading communication systems.

London Overground: On Saturday and Sunday, there is no service between Gospel Oak and South Tottenham due to Network Rail track maintenance work. On Sunday, there is no service between Watford Junction and Queen’s Park due to Network Rail bridge maintenance work.
