Scout London’s best of 2011: Comedy
Josie Long

It was a good year for comedy in London, and it is fair to say that no one rocked Scout’s boat more than Josie Long. When not listening to her already missed weekend show with Andrew Collins on BBC 6 Music, we checked out her week-long stint at the Soho Theatre, where she won us over once again.

Big names who hit the capital included Bill Bailey, Paul Merton, Rich Hall and Peter Serafinowicz, while Phill Jupitus, Alexei Sayle and Robin Ince stood up for the saving of Kensal Rise Library.

In terms of new talent, we’re huge fans of Phillp Wragg, who made it all the way to the semi-finals of the New Comedian of the Year awards. We expect great things from him in 2012.
