Real Food Christmas Market leaves no excuses for poor Christmas presents this year

Scout London has nothing against the high street chains – we love a good department store – but in these last few days before Christmas, heavy traffic areas such as Oxford Street can be a bit too much for even the heartiest of shoppers.

The Real Food Christmas Market at Southbank Centre is here to help weary consumers. The free event is a week-long food festival where you can pick up last minute Christmas treats, find seasonal produce and taste high quality and affordable food from carefully selected producers.

We’re talking over 40 producers to choose from to fill your Christmas larder and purchase that perfect gift to delight your food loving Auntie, all without the need for a panicked pre-Christmas supermarket dash.

We’ve been promised there will be loads of freshly baked mince pies and exotically spiced mulled wine, along with a host of seasonal delicacies including beautiful cheeses, delicious chutneys and pickles, wild game, sublime hams and charcuterie and all manner of chocolate treats.

Best yet, the event is free and runs up until Friday, meaning even Christmas shopping procrastinators have no excuse for poor presents this year.
