Let’s go Buttoned Down Disco

Buttoned Down Disco has its Christmas party this Saturday at KOKO and if previous form is anything to go by, the deliciously hedonistic party is going to be a roadblock.

Founded over a decade ago by resident DJ, Christian Laing, BDD has rocked venues like Bloomsbury Ballroom, The Scala, Turnmills and the V&A Museum before taking up its monthly residency in Camden.

As always the event is invite only, ensuring that people who attend are not there on a whim but due to their shared love of the party and the music. That music is typically centred on indie, electro, pop and disco. On Saturday there are certain to be a few Slade balls, Laing is joined by Pete Wheeler in the main room, and Richard Titchener plays hip hop, funk and dubstep in the Gallery Bar.

It’s free to get in before 10pm, but £10 after.

The strict invite policy is enforced throughout the night: every entrant must have a printed or mobile invite, or BDD badges. Visit the BDD website to request an invite or purchase badges. It’s fine to copy a friend’s invite.

To fuel further Christmas spirit there are some great drinks deals on offer including selected beers at £2.40 until midnight, and Sourz at £1.70 all night. You will also leave the party feeling spiritually warmed thanks to BDD donating a proportion of ticket sales to Cats Protection, and collecting for the cause on the night.

Puss-in-Boots could well be ditching panto for the dancefloor to say thank you in person/cat.
